Kristen at Bookworming in the 21st century is hosting The Catching Up Readathon. According to goodreads I'm behind too!
7 books behind? That's sad considering that my goal is only 50. I need to find more time to read. My husband is already saying that I am ignoring him in the evenings when I read at home. Sigh. Men are so needy. Lol. Anyways, the deets:

Contest Craze: Mini Challenge
This Mini Challenge is from Princess Bookie as a part of contest craze:
Imagine You Just Won A Contest Consisting Of A Date (Dinner And A Movie) with a TV or Movie character! Write a blog post telling who you would choose and why?
I would have to choose...
Crixus from Spartacus: Blood in the Sand
He is just sooooo hot and big and beefy! He was kind of cocky in the beginning but when he fell in love he became that protective, I will kill anyone who hurts you man to the woman he loved. Who wouldn't want that?
We would definitely eat steak for dinner.

More Challenges
I signed up for two more challenges today.
February 1, 2011 through January 31, 2012
A chunkster is 450 pages or more of ADULT literature (fiction or nonfiction)
The Chubby Chunkster - Read four chunksters to complete the challenge. There are more options but I couldn't commit myself to more than four. I'm just being realistic. Even though, many of the books I end up reading are 450 pages or more anyways. Maybe by the end of the year I'll actually be Mor-bookly-obese (8 or more chunky books). :)
Right now, these are the books I plan to read:
Firefly Line by Kristin Hannah (496 pages)
The Memoirs of Cleopatra by Margaret George (976 pages)
Slaves in the Family by Edward Ball (505 pages)
Naamah's Kiss by Jacqueline Carey (656 pages)
I'm also planning to reread Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer (768 pages) again before the movie comes out this fall.
April 9th is the 24 Hour Read-A-Thon. Of course, I won't be able to read for 24 hours but I will be reading every free moment of that day. I will also do an hour update on my blog of my progress. I think it will be fun! Come on, sign up too!
