Today's Obsession: Couches

When I moved I decided not to take my couch with me. It was on its last leg and when you move somewhere new you want a new look. Right? Yeah, so now I'm looking for a couch (on a very limited budget). To me a couch isn't just a couch. It's a place of relaxation, warmth. The thing you day dream about while you are at work. I have a list of requirements. 1. Must be comfortable. I need to be able to curl up with a pillow, under a blanket and read my day away. 2. Must be sturdy. I have a 10 year old little boy who still has the imagination God gave him. Nuff said. 3. Must stain-guarded. I have a furry cat, a sloppy husband and that 10 year old I mentioned earlier. So between entering every giveaway at the Freedom Giveaway Hop (Ends today! I can't afford the majority of these couches).

Today's Obsession: Fourth of July!

I'm so excited for the fourth this year. We are going to my husband's family reunion in Knoxville. I'm bound to have fun because they are loads of fun. I can't wait.

Today's Obsession: Boxes

Yup, I'm moving. I'm excited but I'm also annoyed. I hate packing. HATE HATE HATE it. No, packing is fine. Moving boxes into a truck and unpacking is what I hate. Packing you find things you thought you lost ages ago. Plus it gives you an opportunity to throw away stuff you no longer need. So tonight we are having a packing party. Everyone gets a room, some boxes and a trash bag. Also, we are moving from a house back to an apartment. I've been living in a house for the past 5 or so years and I am looking forward to 24 hour maintenance, swimming pool, a new location, cheaper rent. Anyways, I'm surrounded by boxes.

I wonder how many boxes of books I will have once I'm finished packing?

He's got an idea. This would definitely save on Uhaul expenses!

Today's Obsession: Mexican Food

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!

I grew up in Denver, CO where there is a large Mexican-American population so Cinco de Mayo is a big deal. There were parades, people congregating, celebrating, Mexican flags everywhere. Now I'm in the South and I haven't heard one word about Cinco de Mayo. So I choose to celebrate in my own way, with MEXICAN FOOD!! I absolutely love Mexican food. I could eat it every single day, its my favorite. The good thing about Cinco de Mayo, my hubs can't argue about not wanting tacos or enchiladas or quesadillas. I cannot wait to go home and cook. Anyways, searching through recipes I got to drool over all the pictures. I hope I make you hungry.
