Geek Girl by Cindy C. Bennett
"My only memories of my father are shades of purple and black, lots of violence. I don't remember a lot of the specifics of life with him other than those impressions. Most of what i know comes from what I've read in the reports written about my life." (page 136)
Tune in Tuesday is hosted by Ginger at GReads. Hop on over there and join in the fun! The month of October is all about soundtracks.
My absolute favorite soundtrack songs come from Disney movies. I'm not sure who the writer is for most of those songs but they are great and last for decades. This is my favorite.
Kiss The Girl - from the Little Mermaid
Also I'm not sure if this is considered a soundtrack but my 2nd favorite show right now is the Sing Off. My two favorite groups are the Dartmouth Aires and Delilah.
Dartmouth Aires - Higher Ground (by Stevie Wonder)
Smart and they can sing!! Last night's preformance was awesome but for some reason I can't upload it here. So click here to see it.
Delilah - Grenade (by Bruno Mars)
I swear I've listened to this song a million times since they preformed it.
This show has some real talent! X-Factor what? American Idol who? The Sing-Off is the best singing competition on TV. Anywhoo, moving on.
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week's topic: Top Ten Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time
The Twilight Saga: It was just so much fun reading these books.
Nevermore: This book had me trapped from the beginning. I couldn't put it down.
The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series (books 1-6): I wish I could forget everything I already read on this series and read it again. So good!

You have a few that I have not read yet. I will have to pick one to try for the first time.
A childhood like that, it's easy to see why the narrator might not want to remember.
Great teaser. Please check out my teaser.
I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood books- so much fun to read! My daughter was obsessed with The Little Mermaid when she was little and we watched the movie over and over. Those songs always bring back good memories.
Intriguing teaser!

The Little Mermaid :-) definitely a fave Disney song.
So, when I was little, like 6, my ballet class danced to Kiss the Girl for our recital. To this day it's one of my absolute favorite Disney songs. :)
Awh! The Little Mermaid!! Nice pick! :)
True story: I performed Kiss the Girl with my 8th grade chorus. It's the first and last time I wore white pants. ;-)
Very intriguing teaser. I want to know more about this book.
